Nowadays there is WiFi attack called SSLStrip. Hacker will open free WiFi Hotspot for invite victim to connect it. If victim connect this WiFi, it will transparently hijack HTTP traffic on a network, watch for HTTPS links and redirects, then map those links into either look-alike HTTP links or homograph-similar HTTPS links. After that, hacker can sniff all traffic including all username and password. If we connect any WiFi, our application will check the traffic whether it still use HTTPS or not. If not HTTPS, that means WiFi is not safe from SSLStrip. If HTTPS, that’s means WiFi is not from hacker and user will safe to use it.
